At Maison Darling, we are a collective of Toronto-based professionals from the creative production and wedding industries. Run by producers, designed by art directors, and styled in collaboration with local wedding vendors, we specialize in editorially-inspired pre-wedding photoshoot experiences.

What We Offer

Our photoshoots are a celebratory day of romance and glamour — imagine the best, most elaborate day of dress-up ever. Designed to take place separate from the wedding day, Maison Darling offers a fun, elevated, and unforgettable addition to the wedding experience. Our signature experiences include:

  • Preliminary consultation

  • In-person gown and suit* try-on and selection

  • Full-day photoshoot with pose guidance, signature interactive studio sets, designer wardrobe and accessories, hair and makeup styling, and complementary refreshments throughout the day

  • Image retouching

  • Additional services such as wall-mountable prints of select images and a cinematic behind-the-scenes film of your photoshoot

  • Pre-wedding photography gives you the space to create something more styled, curated, and fashion-forward, without the limitations of a wedding day.

    For couples planning micro-weddings, courthouse ceremonies, or elopements, it can also act as an alternative to traditional wedding photography, without the need for a large venue or purchasing multiple outfits. For those planning a traditional wedding, it becomes something else entirely—an extension of the celebration, and a chance to experience this chapter in a different way.

    It’s also a chance to get comfortable in front of the camera ahead of your wedding day. With everything taken care of, you can simply show up and enjoy the experience.

  • While engagement photos are typically brief and minimally styled, a Maison Darling photoshoot is a more immersive, editorial experience. It includes full-service styling, curated sets and props, and a fully produced environment.

  • Maison Darling photoshoots range in length depending on the service package you chose. Our experiences range from five to eight hours on photoshoot day — this includes hair and makeup services, wardrobe and accessory changes, pose guidance, active shooting time, and refreshment breaks.

  • While many of our clients are engaged, our photoshoots are open to any couple looking to capture their relationship in a highly romantic, editorial way.

  • Pre-wedding photoshoots can be booked at any time. They are often booked prior to the wedding, with many clients choosing to display their images at their venue or on their wedding invitations. Alternatively, others may choose to book after their wedding, or even years later as an anniversary celebration.

    Approximate timeline between booking and photoshoot is between 2-6 weeks depending on availability. Delivery of final images, video, and prints can take up to an additional 3-6 weeks.

  • Yes! While our signature services encompass our pre-curated sets, Maison Darling also offers fully customized photoshoots through our Bespoke package. This experience is built from the ground up, with concept development, custom set, and styling tailored entirely to your vision.

    Bespoke photoshoots have a longer timeline than pre-curated photoshoots. When booking, please allow for an additional 2-4 weeks for creative development.
